I had a movie magazine on my bed, open in the middle of an article about . The brides of the vampire. I had seen it in the theatre with Leopold, haunted by the ravishing color and decor of ”19th century Transylvania” and all the gutter fantasies about older women, preying the young girls.
"Do the vampires never vampirize men?" Leopold had grinned to me after the movie, when we had been sitting at the cafe.
"Yes," I said. "If they are men, they choose only other men."
Leopold had laughed. ”It´s such rubbish!”
"I think it was a fascinating film. Like I said to Carmilla, I love the vampire stories."
